Do not recommend. Attended SEMO for undergrad degree 10 years ago. Ended up dropping out because I genuinely wasn’t learning anything new. Come to find out they didn’t drop all my classes and gave me an F.
I’m doing the same degree at ASU online and I’m learning TONS! That’s a different discussion.
Now as I try to re enroll for the course to raise my GPA and correct a problem that wasn’t my fault, it’s just been absolute chaos. Every person I email with a question has a different answer and no one really seems to communicate with each other.
Just save yourself the headache and get a better education somewhere else!

As a graduate of Southeast, I can say that this is a beautiful campus with wonderful staff and faculty. The landscape is wonderful, the buildings are really interesting, and I had a mostly positive experience. Even with my general classes, I loved working with the professors I had and I enjoyed the learning environment. However it is not without issues. Dealing with student financial services and the dept. of public safety is usually a hassle and a huge pain.

In general, parking on the main campus is a difficulty: either you pay too much for a pass that only allows you to park a long ways from buildings, or you have to park very far away all the time, or you get a lot of tickets from parking where you're not supposed to. DPS is very on top of things when it comes to ticketing.

The food is hit or miss, usually miss unless you eat at one of the
branded places (Subway, Panda Express, etc.). Lunch at Towers is usually good, but dinner and breakfast anywhere are only occasionally good.

I studied music and as such, spent a lot of time on the River Campus. There I can say that the parking situation is much better (more street parking) and the food is generally better. In general, this is a good school with a lot of good people!

Some instructors are good, some are not good. My advisor fn sucks, but yours might not. For being a small campus it’s just ok.

Whatever you do, don't get help from IT. They withheld my personal device from me and ruined my settings while I stood in front of them asking for my device back. They wouldn't even show me which of my settings they were changing. Eventually they found that the error was on their end, but my device was already janked up by whatever they did. I had to wipe the whole thing and start over. Lost a bunch of data in the process. Absolutely ridiculous.

Most of the staff are great, but the occasional bad apple makes everything awful. If you ever get Dr. Shrestha, I recommend you find a different class to take. Everyone else in the biology department is great but like I said, one bad teacher can ruin everything.

If you’re looking to working and paying for your college, don’t go here they will charge late fees, one person in the financial office will tell you that as long as you make a payment your fine. Which isn’t correct they don’t work with you and set a requirement payment. They only send one email until after they fact they charge a fee.
