Visited a good friend at Life Care Center in Punta Gorda. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The common rooms and his room were clean and bright. Would recommend this facility.

This is a wonderful place. My mom was brought here for rehab! They are clean, friendly and very attentive towards her. Their communication is outstanding. Their food is hot and delicious. Everyone is very kind! We are blessed to have the help my mom needs and helps me to be at peace knowing she is well taken care of. Thank you!

Our family member is very comfortable in his room. Tomorrow he will be evaluated and with a schedule of treatment. The staff is nice and responsive to his needs. We are happy he is at Life Care Center of Punta Gorda!

Jessie Shinner has made transferring my mom to Lifecare Punta Gorda amazing. She is so supportive of my mom's and my needs. Always greeting us with a smile and reassuring it will be okay. The staff is wonderful and compassionate helping and going beyond to help my mom settle in her new home. The communication was also comforting when they had to evacuate due to Hurricane Milton, keeping us updated via text or phone calls. I would also like to Thank Mary Ann CNA, for allowing my mom to use her cell phone to call me after the hurricane, Letting us know she was safe and well taken care of.

I have been in several rehab facilities in my 83 years of living, but I have never been treated as well as I was in the Life Care Center. From the very first day I was greeted with warmth, cheerfulness and compassion.Every person I came in contact with treated me with respect and concern. Even more importantly, the staff treated each other the same way which created a very positive and cheerful atmosphere. From the maintenance crew to the Nurses, CNAs,PTs,
Activity director, receptionist and everyone I came in contact with, I was met with compassion and genuine care. This was by far, the best experience I’ve ever had in a rehab facility and highly recommend them.

God knows the truth about this place and the "workers" My cousin was in this facility due to her needing rehab because she had back surgery. My cousin is also legally blind and is in her 70s so reason for rehab was also for help getting around!!! The first day she was there she said the nurse or cna didn't come in her room till late. She would push the call button and they would take more then a hour to go check on her. While in hospital after her surgery she got a heal spur so she needed help getting around to go to restroom. So at this point at the center my cousin told me she had never been to prison but felt as if she was in prison that no 1 would go and check on her and she would get her meds late she was always in pain would call nurse but always took long to go with meds. The mattress to bed was old so I asked for it to be changed for her and they told me they couldn't because they didn't have any more. At this point I called and spoke to social worker and director they assured me they were going to address the issue they went to speak to my cousin as well so I thought ok there on top of it there gonna fix the problem. Well things didn't change my cousin was only showered 1 time while in facility even after Dr. Wrote a letter that she needed to be showered daily and her wound cleaned 3 times a day. My cousin was there 2 weeks only 1 shower and wound cleaned once and it's because I went im to see my cousin when I got there they still hadn't showered her or cleaned her wound by that time it was 5pm her room was dirty with trash on floor room hadn't even gotten a touch up, I went to nurses station to go ask to have someone clean her wound clean the room. Her nurse tells me I will be there but not till later on long story short nurse never went in i went to nurses station 3 times by that time another nurse tells me she will go and clean her wound never did her nurse go in!!! I asked to have the room and the cleaning lady told me u have to have someone clean it in the day shift by this time I'm over it and told her I'm not leaving till someone goes and cleans her room and change her bed sheets we went to report the day shift and they told the lady to clean the room. At this point I decided to take my cousin out of this facility when I got there they still hadn't complied with Dr's orders about showers or wound cleaning my cousin wouldn't even bother calling the nurses due to them taking long to get to her room and would get up and go to restroom on her own, her words were if I wait for them I will pee on my self and mind u my cousins foot was so swollen due to heal spur. The day of discharge Ms olivia helped us and was so helpful but the paperwork was a lie it stated that my cousin felt better and that her health had improved i told her that's a lie I'm taking her out due to all the negligence going on here. I also called my cousins insurance immediately to stop payment for everything they neglected to do!!!! I give this facility prayers for the patients and for the workers to try and grow a heart for these patients it shouldn't be for the paycheck only!!!! The director had a conference call with me and try to make it seam as if I was lying that my cousin loved it there yeah for about half a day because that's how long the attention lasted. This is not the end I will keep reporting this place until I know the issue is fixed! God bless this facility and the patients ?

Life Care Center is a great place for my mother. The nurses take extremely good care of her. I just had lunch with my mother and their food was excellent.
I am glad my mother is at Life Care Center of Punta Gorda and most of all she likes the place too.

From the moment you walk in the door you feel the warmth of this community. I cannot thank the staff enough for the love and care that they provided for my father. Jesse was my emotional support. From the moment I met her I knew that she would hold my hand and guide me through my Dads final journey. Thank you, Life Care.
