What an amazing three days we had with Gavin. We booked a 3 day off piste intro and Gavin perfectly matched our abilities to the off piste terrain. We moved from doing specific drills on piste and applied them to the off piste environment. Gavin was so encouraging and enabling which really boosted our confidence to a new level. Would re-book without hesitation!!

Had a great two hour lesson with Gavin in Serre Chevalier at beginning of my holiday. I've skied for many years but still want to improve, Gavin was great and showed me how to improve my technique and enjoy skiing even more. I would highly recommend.

Mel and Gavin are fantastic. Gavin got my 4 year old skiing. He went from first time in skis a few days earlier to his first green runs the following day. My son wanted to “see coach Gavin” again 🙂
He also got me much more balanced and a couple of parallel turns after many years of plough! We will definitely book again.

Gavin’s teaching and Mel’s advice and organising of wonderful accommodation are a key part of why we have been coming to Serre Chevalier every year for about 15 years. Gavin is an absolutely amazing teacher - innnovative, enthusiastic and just so encouraging that I have skiied places over the years I never imagined would be possible. Our children ask if they can have lessons with him every time we plan to ski, and always come home buzzing and confident from their time with him. Mel is just brilliant at accommodating our ever changing plans and every flat we have stayed in in Monetier has been wonderful. Arriving to be met by Mel always makes us think the holiday will be good whatever happens. Cannot recommend more highly.

We have been regular skiers at Serre Che for approaching 20 years. I have skied with Gavin in classes and privately numerous times and he has taken me to (I think) an ability level that I can tackle everything Serre Che has to offer. My son has been skiing with Gavin since he came out of Ski Creche and he has turned him it to a really confident skier. Gavin is a great instructor, works you hard but, all done with a sense of fun, we are looking forward to skiing with him next season.

I've had the good fortune to ski with Gavin of New Generation Ski School - Serre Chevalier for many years, since I first went to Serre Chevalier in 2005! The first time I skied with Gavin I got more out of my first 1/2 hour than a whole week's lessons elsewhere.
Gavin has really helped my skiing move on. He has a great ability both as a teacher and as a psychologist! he is very good at assessing where my comfort zone is and very gently taking me just beyond it. I always feel safe skiing with Gavin so if he says 'lets...' I'm confident to follow.
I keep going back to Serre Chevalier because of the beauty of the mountains, the wonderful snow, the welcoming community but my main reason is to be taken just outside that comfort zone.
Lessons with Gavin are the high point of a skiing holiday.

We have returned to Serre Chevalier many times for lessons with Gavin. We have always had a lot of fun and he has helped us improve our skiing massively. Gavin is very patient and has a knack for explaining things in a way that makes sense. We can highly recommend him and we will definitely be back!

When I had to prepare for my BASI L3 and then L4 to become an instructor, Gavin was instrumental in my understanding of skiing.
I needed to progress but most of all to analyze and Gavin was the best sparing partner in my learning process, not an instructor, my coach.
This is especially true for amateur skiers of all levels, who need clear, direct and synthetic evaluation to progress.
I've said too much but Gavin is also a friend, easy to get along with and extremely candorous.
I hope to ski with him this season, and if you ski with him before don't forget his favorite quote "slow is pro"!
